Lunar New Year Celebration at CUIMC

Columbia University Asian Faculty Association (CUAFA) and Columbia University Irving Medical Center Employee Resource Group jointly celebrated the 2023 Lunar New Year.

CUAFA president Yiping Han delivered welcome remarks and introduced CUAFA to the audience. Jim Cheng, CUAFA member and Director of Columbia East Asia Library, presented a lecture on the history and cultural traditions of the Lunar New Year, which was warmly received by the audience.

The attendees enjoyed trivia quizzes, a video clip of dragon dance, ruffles, and Asian foods. A good time was had by all!
