Columbia University Asian Faculty Association Calls the Removal of Thomas Keon

Dear Distinguished Trustees of Purdue University,The Columbia University Asian Faculty Association (CUAFA) calls for Thomas Keon, Chancellor of Purdue University Northwest, to resign over his disrespectful treatment of Asian culture during the recent commencement. He has shown himself incapable of providing the moral leadership that the university students and faculty expect from the Office of the Chancellor. We believe that no educators, including ourselves, should be allowed to create an environment where minority students are made to feel degraded and unsafe. Keon must be held responsible personally for undermining Asian students' trust and sense of well-being, and he must step down immediately.Sincerely,X.
