CUAFA Hou and Li Family Gala Dinner was Tremendously Successful

The CUAFA Hou and Li Family Gala Dinner on February 25 was tremendously successful! The Skyline dining room at the Faculty House was packed with over 100 attendees who enjoyed delicious food and live performances.

During the event, EVP Jeannette Wing, CEO and Dean Katrina Armstrong, Vice Dean Anne Taylor, and Dean Christian Stohler gave their remarks. Ms. Elaine Fan, Director of Asian Affairs of New York State, presented a letter from Governor Kathy Hochul expressing warm wishes to CUAFA. The support from senior university leadership and the Governor was greatly appreciated.

We honored CUAFA's founding president Edward Guo, the Young Investigator awardee Harris Wang, and the Lifetime Achievement awardee Gayatri C. Spivak. Gayatri delivered a keynote speech titled "Asia Beyond Asia" and was pleasantly surprised with a birthday celebration.

We are grateful to our generous sponsors and Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, whose support made this event possible. Thanks to our sponsors, over $50,000 has been raised since January, the largest fundraising effort so far.

We will continue to organize such community-building events to bring people together and to make our voices heard.

This event was hosted by Dr. Yiping Han, President of CUAFA.
